Reality TV personality Lindsie Chrisley has been booked in Georgia on suspicion of driving under the influence and released on bail shortly after, according to reports.
The 36-year-old, known for appearing on Chrisley Knows Best, was taken into custody by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office in the early hours of Sunday around 2 am, reports said. She was later processed and released from county jail roughly two-and-a-half hours later after posting a bail amount reported to be just under $6,000.
Authorities have reportedly charged Chrisley with multiple offences, including driving under the influence, reckless driving, attempting to elude police, improper lane change and speeding.
Following the arrest, Chrisley told TMZ that she disputes the allegations and plans to contest the charges. She said the incident began when she tried to avoid a possible accident involving an animal on the roadway, which led to her being pulled over.
Officials have not released additional details about the circumstances of the arrest or confirmed whether any crash or injuries were involved.
The arrest has drawn attention due to Chrisley’s public profile and her long-running association with the reality series Chrisley Knows Best. She stepped away from the show in 2017 and has had a publicly strained relationship with parts of her family in recent years.
Chrisley shares a son, Jackson, with her former husband Will Campbell, from whom she separated in 2021.
She has maintained that she intends to challenge the charges as the legal process continues.
