‘Wedding Jo Hone Nahi Wali’: Alleged Snapchat Chat Linked to Siya Goyal Surfaces Online

An alleged screenshot of a Snapchat conversation purportedly involving Siya Goyal, the woman accused of murdering her fiancé, businessman Ketan Agarwal, has surfaced online, adding a new dimension to the investigation.

The conversation is said to have taken place on May 25, nearly three weeks before 26-year-old Ketan Agarwal was allegedly pushed into a gorge at Pune’s Lohagad Fort by Siya Goyal (20) and her alleged boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary (22).

Alleged message about wedding tickets

According to the purported chat, Siya asked a friend to send both sides of her Aadhaar card so flight tickets could be booked for an upcoming wedding.

The conversation took a startling turn when Siya allegedly wrote that the wedding would never take place.

“Aadhaar card front back bhej de. For wedding tickets jo hone nai wali par fir bhi bhej de (Send the front and back of your Aadhaar card. It’s for booking wedding tickets for a wedding that is never going to happen, but send it anyway).”

The friend reportedly replied that the Aadhaar details had already been shared on WhatsApp.

Police are now examining the authenticity of the alleged Snapchat chat and investigating whether the proposed flight bookings were part of a larger plan to mislead investigators or create a false narrative following Ketan’s death.

Probe widens

Investigators have not indicated whether the friend mentioned in the alleged conversation had any knowledge of the purported murder plot.

However, police have identified a third individual—believed to be a classmate of Chetan Chaudhary—who allegedly had prior knowledge of the plan to kill Ketan Agarwal.

Accused sent to judicial custody

Ketan Agarwal and Siya Goyal got engaged earlier this year and were scheduled to marry in November in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Two chartered flights had reportedly been arranged to transport guests for the wedding.

The wedding plans came to an abrupt end after Ketan was allegedly pushed to his death from a cliff at Lohagad Fort on June 18.

Meanwhile, the investigation has intensified as police examine digital evidence, including chats exchanged between Siya and Chetan.

On Friday, a court remanded both accused to 14 days of judicial custody after their police custody ended.

During the hearing, police sought an extension of custody, arguing that the duo allegedly communicated using “code words” and that further custodial interrogation was needed. Investigators also recovered a second mobile phone belonging to Siya on Friday.

The prosecution told the court that data extracted from the accused’s phones had only recently become available and that confronting them together could help decode the alleged conversations. However, the court declined the request for extended police custody.
