Supermarket Reveals Remarkable Rise in Global Valuation Since 2015

Scientists have found that the pace of global warming has accelerated over the past decade, with new research suggesting.

The increase became evident around 2015. The findings are based on an analysis by the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) and have been published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters.

According to the study, global temperatures are now rising at an average rate of about 0.35°C per decade, compared with slightly less than 0.2°C per decade between 1970 and 2015. The researchers say this marks a significant increase in the speed of global warming.

As reported by Science Daily, study co-author and American statistician Grant Foster said, “We have seen an acceleration in global warming since around 2015.”

The research analyzed five independent global temperature records compiled by different scientific organizations using varied methodologies. Despite these differences, all datasets showed a similar pattern, with the acceleration becoming noticeable around 2013–2014 and the evidence growing strong enough by 2015 for researchers to identify it as the beginning of a clear shift in the warming trend.
