Saudi air defence systems intercepted and destroyed six ballistic missiles launched by Yemen’s Houthi militia, coalition spokesperson Maj. Gen. Turki al-Maliki said on Thursday.
Al-Maliki said the missiles were aimed at Taif and Yanbu, with Saudi forces successfully preventing the attempted strikes from reaching their targets.

The coalition supporting Yemen’s internationally recognised government also issued a warning against further Houthi attacks, saying such escalations would be met with a firm response.
“Escalations and violations by the terrorist Houthi militia will be dealt with firmly,” al-Maliki said.
