Sia, who narrowly escaped serious injury after a sedan allegedly crashed into her motorcycle in Gurugram, has spoken out about the incident, accusing the driver of reckless behaviour and questioning the police response.
Sia said the incident had left her deeply concerned about the safety of bikers and ordinary citizens in Gurugram and Delhi. She also criticised what she described as a lack of swift action against the accused, Kalyan Bainsla.
“I will not give up on the fight. I will set an example,” Sia said.
She also issued a direct message to Bainsla, saying that the biking community had rallied behind her.
“Wherever you are hiding like a criminal, know that the entire biking community is with me,” she said. Sia added that she would continue her fight so that people who harass or intimidate women bikers think twice before doing so.
Sia Questions Delay In Action
Sia questioned how citizens could feel secure if serious allegations were not followed by immediate action.
“It is like the department is signalling that nothing will happen to anyone who breaks the law,” she said, adding that the incident had strengthened her belief that justice can be difficult for ordinary people to obtain.
According to Sia, the incident was recorded on camera, making the delay in tracing the accused difficult for her to understand.
“He thinks he will just hit a woman and speed away and nothing would happen to him,” she said, calling the incident a “clear hit-and-run and attempt-to-murder case.”
She also questioned the enforcement of traffic rules, saying bikers are often penalised for relatively minor violations while dangerous driving by motorists can have far more serious consequences.
“If you impose so many restrictions on bikers in Gurgaon, you should also look at those driving four-wheelers. What are you doing about the people driving so rashly?” she asked.
Sia’s Father Says Family Will Continue Fight
Sia’s father, Rohshan Chauhan, also criticised comments attributed to Bainsla suggesting that his daughter was seeking attention or views on social media.
“Everything he is saying is a lie,” Chauhan said, alleging that Bainsla was under the influence of intoxicants at the time of the incident. He added that police were expected to record his statement and that the family would continue pursuing the case until the accused faced legal consequences.
Meanwhile, police said they had formed five teams to locate Bainsla and were searching various possible locations. Investigators were also examining CCTV footage from Golf Course Road to piece together the sequence of events.

Sia said video footage had captured several alleged violations, including the sedan’s dark window tint, a traffic signal violation and the subsequent collision.
She further alleged that the driver was intoxicated and deliberately struck her. These claims form part of Sia’s account and are being examined as part of the ongoing investigation.
“He is still roaming freely… I was terrified after he rammed my bike. I am glad that everything was recorded,” she said.
Bainsla Disputes Her Version
In an earlier interaction with a reporter, Bainsla claimed he did not know whether the rider was a man or woman. He also argued that only one side of the incident had been made public and questioned why footage involving one of Sia’s male friends had not surfaced.
Sia rejected his claims, particularly his allegation that the bikers had repeatedly accelerated and slowed down.
“He is saying that we were repeatedly speeding up and slowing down on the road. But my video clearly shows who was actually trying to corner whom,” she said.
She also disputed Bainsla’s claim that he did not realise a woman was riding the motorcycle. According to Sia, he came close to her, saw her hair, made gestures and signalled for her to stop.
With the investigation continuing, Sia has maintained that she will pursue the case and is determined to seek accountability through the legal process.
