Human Ansh Box Office Storm: ₹2 Crore Film Crosses ₹200 Crore, Leaves Mirzapur And Haiwaan Behind

Hanuman Ansh has achieved a staggering box-office feat that few could have predicted when the film opened in theatres.

Made on a reported budget of just ₹2 crore, the devotional drama has now crossed ₹200 crore worldwide, emerging as the lowest-budget Indian film to reach the milestone.

The film, inspired by the life and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba, took its time to find an audience. It opened with a modest ₹10 lakh on Day 1 and remained slow during its initial weeks. By the end of its first two weeks, its India net collection stood at just ₹1.48 crore.

A Dramatic Turnaround After Day 16

The film’s fortunes changed dramatically after positive word of mouth began spreading. From Day 16 onwards, Hanuman Ansh witnessed a remarkable surge in audience interest and continued to strengthen its hold at the box office.

The film delivered exceptional numbers in its third, fourth and fifth weeks. Its fourth-week collection reached around ₹61 crore, while Week 5 turned out to be even more extraordinary, contributing a massive ₹90 crore.

The momentum showed no signs of slowing down in its sixth weekend. On Day 36, the film collected ₹10.50 crore net on Friday alone, taking its India net total to approximately ₹174 crore.

₹2 Crore Film Beats The Kashmir Files Benchmark

The film’s worldwide numbers are equally remarkable. Since Hanuman Ansh has not yet been released in overseas markets, its current worldwide gross is being driven entirely by its Indian theatrical run. The film has now earned around ₹205 crore worldwide, comfortably entering the ₹200 crore club.

At a reported production cost of only ₹2 crore, the achievement becomes even more significant. Hanuman Ansh has surpassed the previous low-budget benchmark associated with The Kashmir Files, which was reportedly made for around ₹15 crore.

Its extraordinary return on investment has made the film one of the most unexpected box-office success stories in recent Indian cinema.

Film Traces Neem Karoli Baba’s Spiritual Journey

Vishal Chaturvedi has directed and produced Hanuman Ansh under the banner of Swambhu Media Network. The film is based on his book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life, which chronicles the life and spiritual journey of Neem Karoli Baba.

Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand play the lead roles.

The story revolves around Lakshmi Narayan, a young boy growing up in pre-Independence India. After the death of his mother, he leaves his home in search of God.

His journey takes him across North India, where his encounters and spiritual experiences gradually transform his life. The narrative follows this transformation and ultimately traces his emergence as Neem Karoli Baba.

From a ₹10 lakh opening to a ₹200 crore-plus worldwide haul, Hanuman Ansh has gone from an underwhelming theatrical start to an extraordinary blockbuster run.
