Nora Fatehi Features in Jailer 2 Song Bindaas; Internet Questions Makers

The makers of Jailer 2 unveiled the film’s fourth song, Bindaas, on Wednesday, featuring Nora Fatehi in a special dance appearance.

Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the track marks the second dance number in the Rajinikanth-led sequel after Ala Bolelo, which featured actor and dancer Shamna Kasim, also known as Poorna.

Sun Pictures released Bindaas on Wednesday evening, inviting fans to “go mad” with the new track. The song has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who has also provided vocals along with Deepthi Suresh. Super Subu has written the lyrics, which feature both Tamil and Hindi.

In the music video, Nora Fatehi performs a choreographed routine in a gold fringed outfit on a stage surrounded by dancers. Rajinikanth makes a brief appearance in the song.

Jailer 2’s dance numbers draw criticism online

While Nora’s performance attracted attention, the release also sparked a debate among fans over the film featuring two prominent dance numbers.

Several users on X questioned the need for multiple “item songs” in a Rajinikanth film. One user asked whether the makers did not “trust the Superstar”, while another criticised what they viewed as the continued sexualisation of women in Tamil cinema.

Some comments were also critical of the film’s creative choices, with users questioning the reliance on dance tracks in a major Tamil production.

At the same time, Bindaas received praise from some viewers, particularly for Nora’s dancing. One user compared it with Jailer tracks Kaavaalaa and Monica, claiming that the new song was better.

Jailer 2 release date and cast

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 is the sequel to Rajinikanth’s 2023 blockbuster Jailer. Rajinikanth, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa and Rithvik reprise their roles in the sequel.

The cast also includes SJ Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anna Rajan and Jatin Sarna. Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar are expected to appear in cameo roles.

The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 15.
