Russian officials said on Sunday that a Ukrainian drone strike damaged part of an oil pipeline near the Baltic port city of Primorsk.
Air defences downed 19 drones over the Leningrad region, but falling debris from one drone hit a section of the pipeline, Governor Alexander Drozdenko said on Telegram. He added that the affected section was being safely burned off and no injuries were reported.
Ukraine has ramped up attacks on Russian infrastructure in recent months, increasingly targeting energy and logistics assets. Primorsk, located between the Finnish border and St. Petersburg, was also targeted in March, when an oil depot at the port was set on fire in a similar strike.
