Actor Urvashi Rautela has spoken candidly about her working experience with veteran actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna in Daaku Maharaaj, while also addressing the online reactions surrounding their pairing and viral track Dabidi Dibidi.
Speaking to Radio Nasha, Urvashi said she considers herself fortunate to have worked with Balakrishna and described the collaboration as a memorable one. Reacting to the criticism and memes around their chemistry in the film, the actress said such reactions often snowball unexpectedly on social media.
She also urged audiences to focus on the film’s action sequences, which she believes are among the highlights of the project. Calling the action portions “kickass,” Urvashi said working with Balakrishna turned out to be “really amazing.”
During the conversation, Urvashi was also asked about Balakrishna’s viral public interactions with fans. The actor has often made headlines after videos surfaced showing him pushing away fans or tossing aside their mobile phones during crowded appearances.
Responding to the topic, Urvashi said she had witnessed such moments herself but felt outsiders frequently judge the clips without understanding the surrounding circumstances. According to her, many fans actually enjoy Balakrishna’s energetic and unpredictable personality.
She added that his supporters often react positively to his antics and remain enthusiastic around him. Sharing a personal memory, Urvashi revealed that Balakrishna was the first person to wish her on Valentine’s Day last year, describing the gesture as “so cute.”
Meanwhile, Urvashi is currently promoting Inspector Avinash Season 2, in which she stars opposite Randeep Hooda. Speaking about the upcoming season earlier, the actress said the show would be “bigger, bolder, and more explosive” with intense action, emotional moments, and unexpected twists.
