In a strong address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a stern message to terrorist groups, saying, “Today, every terrorist, every terror organisation knows what happens.
When they take the sindoor off our sisters’ and daughters’ foreheads.” PM’s message comes after India destroyed nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupired Kashmir in retaliation to the April 22 Pahalgam attack. The mission, codenamed Operation Sindoor, was launched in the early hours of May 7 and is ongoing.
“The terrorists removed the ‘sindoor’ of our sisters. That’s why India annihilated the terror headquarters. More than 100 dreaded terrorists were slaughtered in Indian attack. Terrorists who were openly conspiring against India were openly roaming in Pakistan, but India slaughtered them in just one go,” PM Modi said.
He said that India’s actions were a huge setback for Pakistan.
Referring to the recent counter-terror operation, PM Modi said, “Operation Sindoor is not just a name; it reflects the emotions of crores of Indians. Operation Sindoor is a solemn pledge of justice.”
He spoke of the government’s clear mandate to the Armed forces and said, “We gave our forces a free hand to wipe out the terrorists.” PM Modi went on to say that Operation Sindoor has “redefined the fight against terror… setting a new benchmark, a new normal.”
