Munmun Dutta has officially shut down rumours about her exit from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actress, known for playing the beloved character Babita Ji, took to Instagram to share a video from the show’s sets, putting all speculation to rest.

The clip showed visuals from Iyer’s house as well as glimpses from Munmun’s makeup room. Alongside the video, she wrote, “Rumours are always not true 😉😎 #munmundutta #workmodeon #tmkoc,” confirming she remains part of the iconic sitcom.

Rumours about her departure began circulating after fans noticed her absence from the show’s ongoing “haunted bungalow” storyline. While most Gokuldham Society members appeared in the spooky vacation plot, Babita Ji’s character was missing, sparking speculation.

Responding to the buzz, the production house also confirmed to ABP News that Munmun Dutta is very much a part of the current cast.

Now in its 17th year, TMKOC has seen several cast exits, including Disha Vakani, Bhavya Gandhi, Raj Anadkat, and Neha Mehta. Creator Asit Modi recently addressed such changes, saying, “I’ve always stayed connected with the cast. If there’s ever an issue, they can reach out to me directly. I always put the show first.”

With Munmun’s on-set video going viral, fans can breathe a sigh of relief—Babita Ji is here to stay.
