Ghislaine Maxwell Suggests Epstein May Have Been Introduced to Princess Diana at London Event.

Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted associate of Jeffrey Epstein, has claimed that the late Princess Diana may have been introduced to Epstein at a London event hosted by Diana’s close friend Rosa Monckton. The claim surfaced in a recently released US Department of Justice transcript.

Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence for trafficking minors to Epstein, said she was uncertain whether Diana and Epstein ever met but suggested there might have been attempts to bring them together.

In an interview with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche last month, Maxwell said that before she met Epstein, he was living in London and socialising with “truly fancy people,” including Rosa Monckton and her husband, journalist Dominic Lawson.

According to Maxwell, Epstein attended a major London event organised by Monckton. “I don’t know if he sat with Diana or met her there. I don’t know, but I believe it was organised by Rosa,” she said. “I don’t know if she was being set up as a date for him. Maybe—I don’t want to speak badly of Diana, so I’m not going to do that.”

Maxwell firmly denied ever introducing Epstein to the royals, calling such suggestions “a flat untruth.” Notably, she appeared to misplace the timeline, suggesting the event happened in the early 2000s, though Princess Diana had died in August 1997.

The remarks come amid renewed scrutiny of Epstein’s network, including questions about former President Donald Trump’s ties to him. Parts of the Justice Department’s Epstein investigation files remain sealed, sparking criticism from both Democrats and some conservative groups.

Maxwell also told DOJ officials she had never seen Trump in an “inappropriate setting.” She said: “The President was never inappropriate with anybody.”

Author Michael Wolff has previously claimed that Trump and Epstein once boasted about competing for Diana’s attention, though no evidence has ever supported the allegation. Trump dismissed Wolff as “disgraced,” while Melania Trump has denied Wolff’s claim that she met Trump through Epstein, even taking legal action against the author.
