Trump: “Bibi Wants Peace” Ahead of Netanyahu’s White House Visit.

US President Donald Trump said negotiations to end the Gaza conflict are “at their final stages” ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s White House visit on Monday. In an interview with Axios, Trump claimed he is working with Netanyahu, Arab nations, and Hamas to pave the way for broader peace in the Middle East.

“Everyone wants peace — the Arab world, Israel, and Bibi,” Trump said. “If we get this done, it will be a great day for Israel and the region. But we have to get it done first.”

Netanyahu Signals Defiance

Despite Trump’s optimism, Netanyahu has shown little willingness to compromise. In a recent UN address, he pledged to “finish the job” against Hamas and opposed recognition of a Palestinian state. The Israeli premier continues the offensive in Gaza, displacing hundreds of thousands.

This marks Netanyahu’s fourth White House visit since Trump returned to office. While historically allies, Trump has recently voiced frustration, warning Netanyahu against West Bank annexation and criticizing Israeli strikes on Hamas in Qatar.

Analysts suggest the meeting’s success will depend on how much pressure Trump can apply to secure a deal acceptable to both Israel and Hamas.
