Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab is a fantasy horror comedy starring Prabhas in the lead, with Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar in key roles. As anticipation builds ahead of its release, here’s a look at how Prabhas’ last five films have performed at the box office.
Kalki 2898 AD: Prabhas headlined Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi mythological epic Kalki 2898 AD, which also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani. The film received mixed to positive reviews from critics and audiences.
According to Sacnilk, the film has earned ₹646.31 crore at the domestic box office. Given its scale and reception, the makers have already announced a sequel.
Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar marked Prabhas’ Kannada cinema debut. The action drama also featured Shruti Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in prominent roles. The film opened strongly and emerged as one of Prabhas’ better-performing films in recent years.
Adipurush: One of the most ambitious projects in Indian cinema, Adipurush was directed by Om Raut and starred Prabhas alongside Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan. Despite massive expectations, the film failed to connect with audiences and ended up as a major box-office disappointment.
Radhe Shyam: Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, Radhe Shyam was a romantic drama starring Prabhas opposite Pooja Hegde. Released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada, the film also featured Bhagyashree, Sachin Khedekar and Kunal Roy Kapoor.
The film struggled commercially, collecting around ₹104 crore worldwide and was declared a box-office flop.
Saaho: Released in 2019 following the blockbuster success of Baahubali: The Conclusion, Saaho starred Prabhas with Shraddha Kapoor. Directed by Sujeeth, the action thriller received mixed reviews but benefited from strong initial collections driven by high expectations.
