Iran-linked hackers have claimed they breached the personal email inbox of FBI Director Kash Patel, releasing a cache of alleged emails, photographs, and what they described as his resume online.

According to a report by Reuters, the group publicly announced the intrusion and shared materials purportedly belonging to Patel. The hackers, identifying themselves as “Handala Hack Team,” said Patel “will now find his name among the list of successfully hacked victims,” suggesting a high-profile cyberattack.

The authenticity of the leaked content has not been independently verified. However, samples reviewed by Reuters reportedly included a mix of personal and professional correspondence spanning from 2010 to 2019. A U.S. Justice Department official confirmed to Reuters that Patel’s email account had been compromised, though no further details were disclosed regarding the extent or sensitivity of the breach.

The FBI has not issued an immediate response, and the hacker group has not commented further on the claims.
