Dhamaal 4 Box Office Collection Day 2: Ajay Devgn’s Film Registers Big Saturday Jump
Ajay Devgn-starrer Dhamaal 4 picked up pace at the box office on its second day, registering a strong jump in collections after a decent opening. The comedy entertainer earned an estimated Rs 22.50 crore on Saturday, taking its two-day domestic total to Rs 36.50 crore.
After collecting Rs 14 crore on its opening day, the film benefited from increased weekend footfall, particularly among family audiences, giving the latest installment of the popular comedy franchise a solid start at the ticket windows.
Released on July 10, Dhamaal 4 hit theatres alongside Hollywood release Moana. Despite the competition, the film has maintained a steady run, driven by franchise loyalty and an ensemble cast featuring some of Bollywood’s most popular comic actors.
With Sunday expected to deliver even stronger numbers, the film is well on course to cross the Rs 50-crore mark in its opening weekend if the current momentum continues.
Franchise Returns With Familiar Faces
Directed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 marks the return of one of Bollywood’s most successful comedy franchises.
Ajay Devgn headlines the film as Guddu, while Riteish Deshmukh plays Lallan. Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaaferi reprise their iconic roles as Adi and Manav, bringing back the comic chemistry that has been central to the franchise’s popularity.
The supporting cast includes Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Vijay Patkar and Upendra Limaye in key roles.
A Comedy Packed With Treasure Hunt Chaos
The story follows Guddu, Lallan, Adi, Manav and their eccentric companions as they set off in search of Shaitaan Singh’s hidden treasure. Filled with slapstick humour, mistaken identities and a series of comic misadventures, the film stays true to the light-hearted entertainment that audiences associate with the Dhamaal series.
The film has been jointly produced by T-Series Films, Panorama Studios, Devgn Films, Maruti International and Anand Pandit Motion Pictures.
Its music has been composed by Rohansh Pandit and Abeer Pandit, while Amar Mohile has provided the background score. The soundtrack features songs including Chatni, Qeher and Saree, a recreated version inspired by Sanju Rathod’s hit Gulabi Sadi.
In its review, News18 Showsha observed that Dhamaal 4 relies on a simple treasure-hunt premise stretched over a lengthy runtime but retains the franchise’s signature blend of slapstick comedy and ensemble-driven humour, offering fans the familiar brand of entertainment they expect.
